During the third quarter of 2021, the top 5 News and Magazines applications on the Android platform in Latin America showcased varied performance trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Below is a detailed look at each app's performance metrics for the quarter.

NewsBreak: Local News & Alerts experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, starting strong at approximately 231K in late June but dipping to around 156K by the end of September. Weekly active users saw a consistent climb, beginning at about 1.44M and peaking at roughly 1.96M towards the end of the quarter.

Breaking News: Local & Alerts had a notable increase in weekly downloads from around 112K at the start of the quarter to a peak of about 178K in early September, before settling at approximately 75K by the end of the month. Weekly active users also showed growth, starting at around 673K and reaching approximately 873K by early September, before slightly declining to around 646K.

Twitter Lite maintained relatively stable download numbers, with a slight peak at around 75K in mid-July before tapering off to approximately 32K by the end of the quarter. Active users remained steady, fluctuating around the 370K to 400K range throughout the period.
